    The Pre Sales Principal Consultant (PC) is recognised as a thought leader and mentor both internally and to the customer. The PC is responsible for the high quality delivery of proposals and statements of work to Bell’s customers.  They work between the Sales and Delivery teams to ensure commercial and technical governance within the sales process while meeting client objectives and goals.

    Key Requirements

    • Customer Facing pre sales role at a Consultancy
    • Strong experience of IT infrastructure change and technologies, especially Data Centre/ Workload Migrations and/or End User compute.
    • Excellent design and documentation


    1. Creation of document agreements and Statement of Works.
    2. Able to manage client relationships and build consensus and trust in Bell Integrations delivery.
    3. Support multiple engagements with multiple customers and lines of business.
    4. Present Bell consultancy and managed service proposition to customers demonstrating experience and understanding
    5. Support proposition development through technical and commercial content
    6. Provide subject matter expertise; with customer projects and technical mentoring with the delivery team
    7. Support sales related financial goals.
    8. Ensure proposals and statements of work follow internal governance to ensure operations acceptance for delivery
    9. Articulate the value of Bell Integrations services to solve customer problems.
    10. Consulting Craft: Demonstrate proficiency within areas of subject matter expertise, written/verbal communication, presentation, facilitation, interviewing, and delivery. Serve effectively in
    11. Identify efficiencies and anticipate/resolve potential problems within solutions, working with internal delivery and the customer. Design, perform and oversee key areas of analysis and technical decision-making. Guide overall technical/functional approach.
    12. Provide leadership and support to Project Managers, Engagement Partners and project teams to ensure quality delivery and customer satisfaction. Serves as a role model for others to follow.  Able to take and deliver against expectations of lead project roles.  Leads/drives efforts to mentor or train others.



    1. Proven experience as a successful presales consultant with customer relationship management, technical pre-/post-sales experience, managed service design and delivery, and exposure to people management.
    2. Detailed knowledge of the infrastructure industry and associated emerging trends.
    3. Knowledge of the different Bell Integrations propositions, services and offerings.
    4. Demonstrated technical design and implementation of infrastructure solutions.
    5. Demonstrate Service Design and Project Governance skills and experience
    6. Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
    7. Project facilitation ensuring delivery of services set up in line with customer’s needs.
    8. Demonstrable ability to work as a consultant to CIO/IT Director level.
    9. Managing workshop environments, taking ownership and leading all aspects of workshop facilitation.
    10. Demonstrable ability to provide robust and clear feedback to customers.



    1. Educated to degree level, or equivalent.
    2. ITIL Accreditation
    3. Prince 2 or similar
    4. Technical Knowledge (in order of importance):
      1. Workload/ Data Centre Migrations
      2. End User Compute
      3. Experience of Platform and Virtualisation technologies, LAN, Storage and Backup would be beneficial


    1. Proven delivery skills.
    2. Strong design capabilities (medium to large engagements) – Understanding of Technical Design Authority as well as project governance and managed service (ITIL) methodologies
    3. Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to deliver effective and persuasive presentations to Bell Integrations customers and employees.
    4. Excellent consulting and interpersonal skills; proven ability to influence and gain consensus.
    5. Structured problem solving and analytical skills.
    6. Collaborative working style encompassing all delivery disciplines.
    7. Technical mentoring.
