Overview

Leveraging an expansive breadth of Cloud technical services experience as well as in-depth knowledge of market and customer demands, drive delivery excellence and support Bell Integration’s ability to achieve revenue and margin targets.

Operates as the technical authority across key stakeholders both at Bell and across our customer portfolio and in doing so guides and mentors the business both internally and at point of delivery to ensure successful outcomes.

Supports the Consulting Services Director to ensure the Managed Services operations run and deliver in accordance with defined best practice and doing so meets the quality requirements of Managed Services and our customers.

Provides subject matter expertise as part of the sales lifecycle for Cloud Managed Services aligned opportunities.

Works closely with Cloud Infrastructure & Security Consulting Head of Service Development, Head of Cloud Services and CTO in defining and delivering Cloud & Managed Service offerings as well as the enablement of the managed services practice to ensure capabilities meet strategic needs balancing cost and time.

Responsibilities

  1. Able to manage client relationships and build consensus and trust in Bell Integration delivery. Coach others on client agenda and customer ownership.
  2. Articulate the value of Bell Integration services across the entire Delivery Portfolio to solve customer problems, with a particular focus on Cloud Managed Services.
  3. Provide subject matter expertise, for customer service delivery and technical mentoring within the delivery team
  4. Support the Function project related financial goals.
  5. Ensure team delivery responsibilities on managed service engagements for Bell Integration are achieved with focus on quality, through ownership of the engagement.
  6. Ownership of Technical Governance for Managed Services
  7. Work with the Consulting Head of Cloud Service to review CIS Managed Services accounts as required, quarterly minimum, providing insight and opportunities.
  8. Demonstrate proficiency within areas of subject matter expertise, written/verbal communication, presentation, facilitation, interviewing, and delivery. Serve effectively in project governance/Leadership roles on small, medium, and large engagements.
  9. Guide others to achieve both individual and team-based goals.
  10. Recognised internal expert within technical/functional areas; develop new techniques, processes, and standards; track industry developments for new tools and techniques.
  11. Ownership of opportunities through sales process (owning solution from a practice perspective with pre-sales, approval of proposals/SOW within authority levels), and then through delivery lifecycle including providing account insight for future opportunities.
  12. Accountable for technical screening and interviewing across practice.
  13. Provide coaching across CIS technical community in screening/interviewing techniques.
  14. Undertake and support team leaders on Performance Management related topics for personnel across the team, including technical accreditation plans for Personal Development Plans (PDPs) and the provision of objective feedback for Personal Development Reviews (PDRs).
  15. Perform Line Management duties for team leaders and direct reports.
  16. Operate as part of the Managed Services Leadership team, as an SME for all business stakeholders.
  17. Stay abreast of emerging market trends, technologies, gather customer insight, attend technology events.
  18. Provide thought leadership of overall CIS strategy for practice area to cover Managed Service propositions and product development in collaboration with the Head of Service Development
  19. Accountable for the continual review and development of the Practice definition, delivery collateral and IP, in line with Bell business needs.
  20. Deputise for the Head of Managed Services when requested.
  21. Collaborate with the Vendor Alliances team and technology partners to define our offerings and obtain insights.
  22. Liaise with Sales / Pre-Sales teams for definitive approaches with clients around messaging to help calibrate their approach.

Person Specification:

  • Proven delivery and leadership skills.
  • Ownership of engagement (leading the team).
  • Strong understanding of markets, opportunities, and competitors, as well as business issues and challenges.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to deliver effective and persuasive presentations to Bell Integration customers and employees.
  • Excellent management and interpersonal skills; proven ability to influence and gain consensus.
  • Structured problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Collaborative working style, encompassing all delivery disciplines.
  • Able to lead both real and virtual teams to reach one common end goal.
  • Able to provide mentoring across the delivery team.
  • Ability to travel as and when required.

 

General Skills and Expertise:

  • Experienced, professional, services/technical consultant to support pre-sales engagement calls with customers and to deliver engagements sold.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Cloud industry and associated emerging trends.
  • Knowledge of the different Bell services and offerings.
  • Demonstrated design and implementation of Cloud & infrastructure managed service solutions.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and Leadership skills.
  • Onboarding and transition facilitation ensuring the design and set up of services in line with customer’s needs.
  • Manage workshop environments, taking ownership and leading all aspects of workshop facilitation.
  • Interface with MS teams, peers and practice leaders within Bell and the client’s IT staff to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Demonstrable ability to provide robust and clear feedback to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience of people management across a dispersed team.

 

Technical Expertise, Qualifications and Accreditations:

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable experience across Cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, Application Modernisation)
  • Understanding of Data Centre/Cloud/Application migration methodologies
  • Vendor certifications (Azure & AWS)
  • 15 years’ experience within a consulting or delivery organisation
  • 5 years’ people management experience
